Pomegranate Cinnamon Tea

Sore throat…Fever….We’ve all been there. It’s times like these I wish I was with grandma in Brazil, near our pomegranate tree! Home remedies do work, and pomegranates are an amazing Sore Throat Remedy. I haven’t been feeling like myself for nearly 3 weeks and today it finally got the best of me! Had to stay home and trying to keep hydrated and recover.

Thankfully I did have 2 pomegranate sitting here at home so just made a Pom cinnamon tea to cut this nonsense of a cold (hopefully not the actual flu) symptoms for once!

Pomegranate Cinnamon Tea

4 cups water
1/4-1/2 cup pom seeds
1 cinnamon stick or ground

Simmer all for 15-20 minutes.
Enjoy alongside your tissue box!

Tip: Chew on pom seeds! It assists in fighting infection with antioxidants and also contain astringents which will help with the swelling. Also juice it!

How to easily remove Pom seeds: Beat that pomegranate with a wooden spoon all around and roll it on your counter top. Cut it in half, full a bowl with water and the pom seeds will fall right out when you squeeze it slightly into the water! Pull out the Harder ones to come out. The water buoyancy will separate the white pieces that may fall out.
