Garlic Lemon Lime Wings (and Bonus Hot Wing Sauce)

Whether you like hot wings or not, this is for you, because who doesn’t simply love WINGS!

Here I give you two alternatives that you can feel free to mash up, or not. These garlicky lemony limey wings go well with a side of rice, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, whatever….

Add the hot sauce and insert an iced cold beer, or your weight on ranch or blue cheese. Pick your poison, and feel the delicious tingle on your lips. If you like a nice bite, take it! This wing sauce is awesome.

This is what I did.

Garlic lemon lime wings

WHAT

  • 16 chicken wings, tips cut off
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 lime, halved
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

HOW

  1. Place wings in a large mixing bowl.Drizzle with olive oil, garlic, squeeze lemon and lime fully plus spices to taste. You may allow this to stay overnight in the fridge or for at least a few hours.

  1. You may grill these wings at 350-375 F on the grill for 30-35 minutes flipping the wings at the halfway point. Should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delicious taste!
  2. You may also do this in the oven for the same amount of time.

And you can stop here.

Or…

Make a traditional HOT sauce.

Homemade Wing Hot Sauce

WHAT

  • 1/4 cup hot sauce of choice, I used Ted’s
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp maple white balsamic vinegar (or vinegar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika

HOW

  1. Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Lower to a simmer for 1-2 minutes and let it sit and cool.
  2. Once it was done, I further added 1-2 tbsp of hot sauce to the mix for an added kick. This is very optional.
  3. Toss the wings in the sauce and ingest immediately! YUM!

ENJOY!
